The Hunt for Atlantis Book Cover

The goal of this project was to take an existing book cover, whether one you read or assigned by the professor, and come up with an original redesign. My sole focus on my redesign was appealing to the natural state of human curiosity by getting the viewer to ask themselves two questions before reading the synopsis: "What lies beyond on the horizon," and "What lies below the ocean's surface?" While appealing to the sense of adventure was part of my reasoning for choosing the design, I felt it was a secondary reason and the pull of curiosity was the driving factor.
